This year a Huntington’s Disease conference will once again be held in North Staffordshire, Stoke on Trent. Among many brilliant speakers, our own board member Dina de Sousa, will speak at the conference.

Here’s a description of the event:

Families and care providers continue to face the challenges of providing every day care to the highest possible standard whilst keeping up to date with ever increasing knowledge and research developments. The future looks brighter for generations to come, but today’s patients and carers still have to deal with daily realities.

This event will attempt to give a balanced and realistic account of what is on the horizon for our children without overlooking the struggles of our patients as they continue with their journey. As it has always been emphasized in our previous events, there is no better alternative to patients, clinicians and scientists working together as one team, if we are to deliver best care and achieve disease modification.

In addition to Dina de Sousa, Alice Rivières is one of the speakers at the conference. EHA have met her and recorded a interview. Get to know her story better here.
