On monday, the 6th of April, 2020, The European Huntington Association (EHA) and the European Reference Network for Rare Neurological Diseases  (ERN-RND) arranged an open webinar titled “Huntington´s Disease and the COVID-19 Pandemic – a difficult situation”

The organisers of the webinar acknowledges that COVID-19 – with all the restrictions it has, can cause a lot of strain, stress and isolation for some of you.

All of us have had big changes in our day to day life making routines hard to maintain. The European Huntington Association has gotten feedback that some of you struggle, feel scared or isolated. Therefore, we need to stand closer together and support each other.

The webinar was attended by roughly 150 people and we had 16 professionals in the Huntington’s disease field discussing Huntington’s and COVID-19. People also got the chance to ask questions in their native languages to those in the panel.

You can watch the video of the webinar below, where the topics covered include: the specific risks for Huntington’s disease (HD) patients, update on consequences for the ongoing HD studies and trials, and some advice on how to cope with the new situation.
