This summer I got an unexpected e-mail. Bea de Schepper had collected medical equipment, stored it in her house in Belgium and wanted to donate it to a Huntington’s Disease association that could make good use of it.

The equipment consisted of hospital beds, wheelchairs, chairs, toilet chairs, tables, walkers, rollators, toys and dishes.

With the help of Alzbeta Muhlback, the Flemish Huntington Association and the European Huntington Association, a truck full of equipment arrived the Czech Republic.

We were happy to offer it to our Huntington families and to the care homes that cooperate with us. Since it can be hard to make a care home accept our patients, it was great to provide them with these equipment’s.

On behalf of our Huntington association I would like to thank Bea for the great effort she makes to help other countries (we are not the only one obtaining a truck full of equipment).

I would also like to thank Alzbeta Muhlback for her help with organizing the transport, the Flemish Huntington Association and the European Huntington Association to help pay for the transport costs.

All the support is really appreciated.
