The conference is the biggest annual gathering of Huntington’s disease researchers. At the 14th Therapeutics Conference, 360 researchers participated.
During the gathering in Palm Springs, scientists talked about their approaches to treatment. There are for instance 6 pharmaceutical companies targeting Huntingtin lowering in different ways.
Among many Pharma companies, PTC Therapeutics presented their approach at Day 1. The company is currently working on a pill which might lower Huntingtin in the brain.
