Fatigue and having trouble sleeping are some of the hardest symptoms for people with long-term health conditions. These symptoms are common, but they are still difficult to measure and treat properly.
The IDEA-FAST project is a research study across Europe that is looking at how digital tools—like wearable devices, mobile apps, and sensors—can help track and better understand these symptoms in
everyday life in several diseases.
Dina De Sousa, an EHA board member and HD family member, has been involved in the project from the beginning.
The project coordinators have launched a survey for people living with chronic conditions, including HD, across Europe. By sharing your experience, you can help researchers and healthcare professionals
understand how to use these technologies to improve diagnosis, monitoring, and overall quality of life.
Patient surveys are important because they give a voice to the people who actually live with a condition every day and help make healthcare and research more practical, relevant, and focused on what really
matters to people.
