Active Huntingtons? YES.
Research on physical activity has shown several benefits for people with Huntington’s disease:
1. Improved quality of life and confidence
2. Improved balance
3. Ability to walk further and faster
4. Prevention of stress and aggression
5. Reduction in symptoms of depression and anxiety
Active Huntingtons is therefore an information and learning resource developed in collaboration with physiotherapists in the European Huntington’s Disease Network (EHDN).
We have aimed to develop a resource that is helpful for people with Huntingtons, and the caregivers who support their physical activities. Navigate through the sections for more information.
We hope it will help you get active!
