The Swedish Huntington’s Association has been working for several years to develop a training programme for carers of people with Huntington’s disease. Thanks to financial support from the Swedish National Inheritance Fund, a web-based training course has been developed. The knowledge has been gathered from the professions in all relevant professional categories. In Sweden, almost 1000 people have completed this training.
Now we want to share this knowledge with you. Thanks to the support of the pharmaceutical companies Novartis and Roche, the training has been translated into English. Our hope is that it will be translated into more languages.
In the first round, we want to demonstrate how the training is structured and how you can access it. We would also like to show the in-depth modules that have been developed on Eating, ADL, Communication and Dentistry, and inform you how we intend to continue developing new modules.
